It’s easy to skim TERMS AND CONDITIONS. But these matter. There is important information here for you to have a great trip to Türkiye, Greece, and Italy.

IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY. TOGETHER WITH THE TRAVEL WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY, THEY FORM YOUR AGREEMENT WITH PHILIP’S HOUSE LLC (THE "AGREEMENT") AND INCLUDE AN ASSUMPTION OF RISKS AND A RELEASE OF CLAIMS FOR ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE.

Your deposit or any payment constitutes acceptance of the commercial terms below — pricing, the payment schedule, and the cancellation policy. The assumption of risk, release, and indemnity provisions take effect when you sign the Travel Waiver and Release of Liability. No traveler may participate without a signed waiver on file.

By making a reservation, deposit, or any payment, you (the “Traveler”) enter into an agreement with Philip's House LLC, its officers, employees, agents, and vendors (collectively, the “Organizers”), and agree to the terms below as a condition of participating in the group tour to Türkiye, Greece, and Italy, organized in partnership with Sar-El Tours & Conferences, their subsidiaries, and other ground operators and vendors as required.

These Terms and Conditions are incorporated into, and are to be read together with, the Travel Waiver and Release of Liability for this Trip. Where a genuine conflict exists between the two, the Travel Waiver and Release of Liability controls.

1. Reservations and Payments

A non-refundable deposit of $500 per person is required to secure your reservation. This deposit may, at the Organizers’ discretion, be applied to future travel with Philip’s House LLC or transferred to another traveler upon written request and approval.

Clients shall strictly comply with the payment schedule shown in their WeTravel booking confirmation, which is incorporated into this Agreement. Philip’s House LLC accepts payment by check, ACH bank transfer, or credit card. There is a surcharge for debit and credit card payments, for bank transfer payments, and for use of the booking platform. Reservations made after the final balance due date require full payment immediately.

Payment plan. If you choose the payment plan, you authorize auto-deductions from the credit card or bank details provided at booking. Estimated taxes and fuel surcharges are included in the published price but are subject to change and must be paid before departure. A late fee of 1.5% per month applies to any unpaid balance. Full payment constitutes acceptance of all terms in this Agreement.

Multi-country cost exposure. This tour is operated in three countries and vendor costs are incurred in multiple currencies. Increases in government-imposed taxes, municipal or tourist taxes, site admission fees, fuel surcharges, or airfare may be passed on to you and are due before departure. We will give written notice as soon as practicable.

Limit on price increases. Cumulative price increases under this Section will not exceed eight percent (8%) of the published tour price. If cumulative increases would exceed 8%, you may cancel within fourteen (14) days of receiving notice and receive a refund of all sums paid, less any third-party costs already incurred on your behalf that Philip’s House cannot recover. No price increase will be imposed within thirty (30) days of departure.

2. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing and are effective on the date written notice is received by Philip’s House LLC.

• The deposit is non-refundable at any time.

• If airline tickets have been issued, the ticket cost will be deducted and any airline credits passed to you.

• 90+ days before departure: full refund, less the $500 deposit and less any other non-refundable expenses.

• 89–67 days: 75% refund, less the $500 deposit and less any other non-refundable expenses.

• 66–46 days: 50% refund, less the $500 deposit and less any other non-refundable expenses.

• 45 days or fewer: no refund.

No refunds for no-shows, unused services, or early departures.

Government advisories and country-level disruption

The U.S. Department of State issues four-level Travel Advisories. Levels 1 through 3 — including Level 3, "Reconsider Travel" — are advisory only. They do not prohibit travel, and the tour will continue with a safety plan. No refund outside the schedule above is available because an advisory has been issued or raised to Level 3.

Cancellation of the affected portion of the tour will be triggered only by (a) a Level 4 "Do Not Travel" advisory applying to the destinations on this itinerary within that country — as distinct from a Level 4 designation limited to a border region the itinerary does not visit, such as the areas of Türkiye near the Syrian and Iraqi borders; (b) a U.S. Government restriction on the use of a passport for travel to that country; or (c) a closure of that country’s borders to U.S. travelers. Where cancellation is triggered, the operator cancellation terms below apply.

Because this tour visits three countries, a ban or disruption affecting one country will not necessarily cancel the whole tour. Where only one country is affected, the Organizers will endeavor to substitute an alternate destination, extend time in the remaining countries, or otherwise revise the itinerary, and the tour will proceed as revised. No refund is due for a revised itinerary of comparable overall duration.

In the event of airline suspension, the tour will be rescheduled where possible; refunds are not guaranteed, as airlines and other vendors may be unable to cancel or refund bookings.

Cancellation by Philip’s House

Philip’s House LLC reserves the right to cancel the tour prior to departure, including for insufficient enrollment, safety conditions, or loss of essential suppliers. If Philip’s House cancels the entire tour before departure, you may elect either a credit for the full amount paid, applied to a rescheduled departure or another Philip’s House trip within twenty-four (24) months, or a refund of all sums paid — including the deposit — less only those third-party costs already incurred on your behalf that Philip’s House cannot recover from the supplier and for which your travel insurance provides no coverage. Any deduction will be itemized in writing. Your election must be made within thirty (30) days of notice, and payment will follow within thirty (30) days of that election or within any shorter period required by chapter 19.138 RCW, whichever is sooner. If no election is made, a refund will be issued.

Events making the tour impossible

If the entire tour becomes impossible to operate because of events beyond the Organizers’ control — including war, widespread civil unrest, epidemic or pandemic, natural disaster, or simultaneous closure of borders or airspace — the Organizers will first endeavor to reschedule to a comparable future date, and all sums paid will be applied to the rescheduled departure. If the rescheduled date does not work for you, the cancellation-by-Philip’s-House terms above apply.

No refunds or credits will be issued for early departure, removal from the tour, or termination due to violation of the Traveler Code of Conduct and Alcohol/Substance Policy (Section 9) or any other misconduct.

3. Passports, Visas & Travel Documents

Travelers are solely responsible for securing valid travel documents for every country on this itinerary. A traditional passport book is required, with sufficient blank pages for entry and exit stamps. Failure to obtain required documents, or denial of entry by any authority, results in no refund.

Passport validity — two separate tests. Philip’s House requires your passport to be valid at least six months beyond your return date. Separately, the Schengen Area requires that the passport have been issued within the previous ten (10) years as of the date of entry. A passport renewed under the former U.S. practice of adding unused months from a prior book can pass the validity test and still fail the ten-year test, resulting in denied boarding. Check the issue date on your passport, not only the expiration date.

Türkiye. U.S. citizens holding ordinary passports are currently visa-exempt for tourist stays of up to 90 days in any 180-day period. Türkiye’s statutory minimum passport validity is 60 days beyond the permitted duration of stay, and the U.S. Embassy in Türkiye advises six months beyond entry; the Philip’s House requirement above satisfies both. Holders of official, service, or diplomatic passports, and citizens of other countries, must confirm requirements with the Turkish consulate.

Greece and Italy (Schengen Area). U.S. citizens may enter without a visa for short stays, subject to the Schengen limit of 90 days in any 180-day period counted across all Schengen states combined. The EU Entry/Exit System (EES) collects fingerprints and a facial image at the border; no advance application or fee is required, but expect longer processing times.

ETIAS and future authorizations. The European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) had not launched as of July 2026 and the European Union has not fixed a start date. It may be in force by March 2027. Verify the position on the official EU website before departure rather than relying on these Terms. Regardless of the above, you agree to obtain, at your own expense and before departure, ETIAS authorization and any other electronic travel authorization, visa, registration, biometric enrollment, or entry permit in force at the time of travel for any country on this itinerary, whether or not named here. We will endeavor to notify you of requirements as they become known but do not guarantee notice and are not responsible for your failure to obtain a required authorization.

For other nationalities, check with the relevant consulate well in advance.

4. Health and Fitness

This itinerary is physically demanding: touring days routinely involve several miles of walking, extended standing, and climbing hundreds of steps on uneven, steep, and often slick ancient surfaces at sites such as Ephesus, the Acropolis, Pompeii, and the Roman Forum, where handrails, elevators, and modern safety features are frequently absent. You confirm that, with or without your own assistive devices, you are able to walk approximately three miles over uneven ground in a touring day, climb and descend approximately 200 steps including steps without handrails, stand for 30 minutes or more at sites without seating, board and exit a motor coach unassisted, manage your own luggage between the coach and hotel reception, and keep pace with the group.

These are the objective requirements of the itinerary, not a judgment about any individual. If you are uncertain whether you can meet them, contact Philip’s House to discuss the itinerary before booking; we will work with you in good faith to determine whether reasonable accommodation is possible at the specific sites involved.

Any medical or mobility condition that could affect your ability to meet these requirements, or that could require assistance from staff or fellow travelers, must be disclosed in writing at least 60 days before departure. Disclosure is not a barrier to participation; it allows us to plan. Failure to disclose may result in removal, and no refund is available for removal occurring after departure. The Organizers do not provide medical, nursing, or personal assistance, and a traveler who requires hands-on personal assistance must travel with a companion who provides it. Health information you disclose is used only to plan your participation and to obtain care in an emergency, and is shared only with the Organizers, our ground operators, treating medical personnel, and your insurer and emergency contact as needed for those purposes. It is never sold. The Organizers will notify you of any required medical documentation.

You further certify that you will not engage in behavior — including excessive alcohol consumption or use of illegal substances — that could endanger yourself, other travelers, or the tour group. Failure to maintain this fitness may result in immediate removal under the Code of Conduct (Section 9).

5. Mandatory Travel Insurance

Travel medical and cancellation insurance is required. Proof may be requested before departure; non-compliance may result in cancellation without refund. Insurance must be purchased independently. For pre-existing conditions, most insurers require purchase within a short window after your initial deposit — commonly 10 to 21 days, varying by insurer — to obtain a pre-existing condition waiver; confirm the window with your insurer. Proof of coverage, including insurer, policy number, and the insurer’s 24-hour assistance number, is due no later than 60 days before departure, and you must carry that number while traveling. Confirm your policy covers emergency medical treatment abroad, emergency evacuation and repatriation, trip cancellation and interruption, and baggage. The Organizers assume no responsibility for insurance claims. Your insurance may not cover expenses arising from misconduct under Section 9.

6. Air Transportation, Baggage & Land-Only Tours

If airline travel is added to your fare, it will typically include round-trip international fare from the departure airport by regularly scheduled airlines based on special group airfares. Airport taxes and fuel surcharges are included but can increase; any escalation in the cost of airfare will be borne by the client and is due prior to departure.

This itinerary may include intra-Europe flights between countries. Intra-Europe carriers commonly enforce stricter and lower baggage allowances than transatlantic carriers, and excess baggage fees are the Traveler’s responsibility.

Passengers are responsible for ensuring that PH has the correctly spelled names for air ticket reservations. Any name change, including minor spelling corrections, may require reservations to be canceled and rebooked with associated change fees. Names printed on the E-Ticket must exactly match the first, middle (if included), and last name as stated in the passport.

The Organizers are not responsible for airline schedule changes, delays, or cancellations. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you hold directly against a carrier: international air carriage is governed by the Montreal Convention 1999, flights within or departing from the European Union are additionally subject to EU Regulation 261/2004 on denied boarding, cancellation, and long delay, and carriage by sea in Greece and Italy is subject to EU Regulation 392/2009. Claims of that kind lie against the carrier.

Baggage allowance. Because airline specifications change, we recommend you contact each airline directly for current allowance restrictions. Any oversized or overweight luggage is subject to additional charges borne by the traveler.

Land-only tour. If you purchase a land-only tour and are unable to arrange your flights to coincide with the group’s arrival or departure, any additional transfer cost is your responsibility. You are responsible for meeting the tour group at the prearranged time and place.

7. Accommodations, Meals, Ground Transportation, Sightseeing, Taxes & Tips

Hotels. Prices are per person, based on double occupancy of a room with two twins or a double bed. A single-occupant room is available at extra cost. European hotel rooms and beds are generally smaller than their U.S. equivalents, and twin rooms in historic properties may be compact.

Shared room. If a roommate is requested, the Organizers will make every effort to find one, but cannot guarantee a match. If no roommate is found, or if an assigned roommate cancels and no replacement is available, the single supplement becomes payable by the remaining traveler and is due before departure. The Organizers do not assume responsibility for roommate compatibility; assignments are made by the traveler or the group leaders.

Meals. Included meals are listed in the tour description. Beverages other than those specified by the restaurant as included are extra.

Ground transportation. All ground transportation is by air-conditioned motor coach, mini-bus, or passenger van depending on the size of the tour group. In historic city centers, pedestrian zones and vehicle restrictions frequently prevent coaches from parking adjacent to sites; walks between the coach and a site may be substantial.

Sightseeing. Tours include sightseeing with licensed, English-speaking local guides as required by the law of each country. The Organizers may vary the published itinerary or make substitutions if required by circumstances beyond our control, including site closures, strikes, weather, and seismic events.

Taxes. All charges and taxes normally associated with hotel rooms and touring are included. Municipal or city tourist taxes in Italy and Greece are, where applicable, payable locally at check-out unless expressly stated as included. Estimated taxes shown in your booking confirmation are subject to change and are due prior to departure; any increase will be passed on and must be paid before departure.

Tips. Unless specified otherwise, you are responsible for tipping luggage handlers, hotel staff, guides, and drivers. This is separate from your tour price. Please consult Philip’s House for recommended tipping rates.

Not included. Unless specified otherwise, the following are not included in a group package: travel insurance; lunch; beverages other than those provided at breakfast and dinner; items of a personal nature such as laundry, telephone charges, and room service; domestic travel to and from the departure airport; excess baggage charges; city and tourist taxes payable locally; optional excursions; and all other items not stated as included. Special technical equipment, excess or oversized luggage, and transportation for such are not included.

Reservations. Tour reservations should be made as early as possible, as space is limited. A non-refundable deposit is required to guarantee your reservation.

Documents. Your tour documents — E-Ticket receipts, tour confirmation voucher, and related information — will be sent approximately two to three weeks prior to departure.

8. Photos / Videos & Media Release

Photos and videos of our tour may be used at any time in any of the Organizers’ publications. You authorize the Organizers to capture media of you during the trip, including at historical and religious sites, group events, transportation, and accommodations, subject to the restrictions of each site and applicable local law. This includes cameras, drones, and audio devices where permitted.

You grant a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, edit, distribute, and create derivative works from the media for marketing, promotional, educational, or commercial purposes (for example YouTube, social media, and websites). You will not receive compensation for the media’s use. You release the Organizers from claims related to the media, including privacy or publicity rights. If you are the guardian of a minor participant, you consent on their behalf.

9. Traveler Code of Conduct and Alcohol / Substance Policy

Philip's House LLC is committed to providing a safe, respectful, spiritually enriching, and enjoyable tour for every participant. By booking and paying any amount, you agree to the following rules, which supplement all other sections. These rules protect you, your fellow travelers, staff, and the integrity of the tour.

A. Compliance with instructions

You must at all times follow the lawful directions of tour guides, drivers, staff, site authorities, and local authorities. Refusal to cooperate is grounds for immediate corrective action, up to and including removal from the tour.

B. Alcohol use

The legal drinking age is 18 in Türkiye, Greece, and Italy. Alcohol consumption is permitted only in moderation, in accordance with local law, and only when it does not impair your judgment or safety or the enjoyment and safety of others. Strictly prohibited:

• Consuming, hiding, or possessing personal alcohol on the tour bus or during any organized group activity.

• Purchasing or consuming alcohol in public in a manner that causes disruption or intoxication or violates local open-container or public-order laws. Several Italian and Greek municipalities enforce ordinances against public drinking and intoxication in tourist districts, with substantial fines.

• Any level of intoxication that renders you uncooperative, unsafe, or unable to participate safely.

Travelers who choose to drink do so entirely at their own risk. The Organizers reserve the absolute right to refuse service, confiscate alcohol, or require you to stop.

C. Illegal drugs and substances — zero tolerance

The use, possession, purchase, distribution, concealment, or being under the influence of any illegal drug, controlled substance, cannabis in any form, narcotic, or drug paraphernalia is strictly prohibited at all times.

This policy applies without exception to substances that may be legal in your home state or country. Cannabis is illegal for recreational use in Türkiye, Greece, and Italy regardless of its status in Washington. Türkiye imposes severe penalties for drug offenses — including arrest, lengthy imprisonment, heavy fines, and deportation — and applies them to foreign nationals.

Any violation will result in:

• Immediate removal from the tour (bus, hotel, activities).

• Reporting to local law enforcement and border authorities as appropriate.

• You being solely responsible for all resulting costs, including legal fees, fines, detention costs, deportation, or emergency return travel.

D. Prescription medication

Some medications lawfully prescribed in the United States are controlled or prohibited in Türkiye, Greece, or Italy. You are responsible for verifying the legality of your medications in each country, carrying them in original labeled containers with a copy of the prescription, and obtaining any required documentation in advance.

E. General conduct

You must respect the rights, safety, comfort, and well-being of other travelers, staff, vendors, and local residents. Prohibited conduct includes abusive, threatening, harassing, disruptive, or discriminatory behavior; vandalism or defacement; climbing on or removing material from ruins or monuments; and any action that endangers the group or tour operations.

F. Consequences of violation

In the reasonable discretion of the Organizers or Tour Leader, exercised in the interest of the safety of the group, any violation may result in:

• Immediate removal from the tour.

• No refund of any payments (deposit or balance).

• You being solely responsible for all costs of removal, alternate transportation home, additional lodging, meals, change fees, medical transport, legal fees, fines, or deportation.

• A ban from future Philip's House tours.

• Expanded indemnity obligations (see Section 11).

Your mandatory travel insurance will likely exclude claims arising from misconduct.

10. Itinerary, Risks, Assistance & Courtesy

The right is reserved to cancel the tour prior to departure and to decline to accept or retain any person as a member of the tour at any time, including for violation of the Traveler Code of Conduct and Alcohol/Substance Policy or any behavior deemed detrimental to the safety, comfort, or enjoyment of the group or tour operations.

Türkiye, Greece, and Italy are all seismically active. Earthquakes, aftershocks, volcanic activity, and consequent site closures or evacuations are possible and are outside the Organizers’ control. Strikes and labor actions affecting transport, museums, and archaeological sites occur periodically in Greece and Italy and may require itinerary changes without refund.

11. Limitations on Liability, Release & Indemnification

Philip’s House LLC acts only as an agent and coordinator in arranging air travel, hotels, ground transportation, guiding, meals, and admissions, all of which are supplied by independent contractors over whom the Organizers have no direct control. The Organizers are not liable for the acts, omissions, negligence, defaults, insolvency, or breach of contract of any such supplier, or for events beyond their control.

To the fullest extent permitted by Washington law, the Organizers disclaim liability for loss, damage, delay, or injury to person or property arising during or in connection with the tour, including loss caused by ordinary negligence. Nothing in these Terms releases or limits liability for gross negligence, reckless or willful misconduct, or intentional wrongdoing, or any liability that cannot be released as a matter of Washington law; any provision that would otherwise purport to do so is limited to the maximum release permitted by law rather than rendered void.

You further agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Organizers from any and all costs, claims, damages, liabilities, or legal fees arising from your violation of the Traveler Code of Conduct and Alcohol/Substance Policy, including expenses related to your removal, alternate travel arrangements, law-enforcement involvement, or any incident involving alcohol or illegal substances. The provisions of this section survive termination of the Agreement.

12. Sacred Sites, Religious Observance & Local Customs

This tour visits places that are living centers of worship for Muslim, Eastern Orthodox, and Roman Catholic communities. Access is a privilege extended by the communities who keep them.

• Mosques in Türkiye. Shoes are removed. Women cover hair, shoulders, and knees; men cover shoulders and knees. Visits are not permitted during prayer times.

• Orthodox churches and monasteries in Greece. Modest dress covering shoulders and knees is required; some monasteries require skirts for women and long trousers for men and enforce this at the gate. Photography is often prohibited.

• Vatican City and churches in Italy. A strictly enforced dress code prohibits bare shoulders, bare midriffs, shorts, and skirts above the knee. Travelers turned away for dress will not be readmitted and no admission refund is available.

Carry a scarf, wrap, or light layer sufficient to meet these requirements on every touring day and follow the Organizers’ guidance on dress each morning.

You agree to follow the Organizers’ instructions regarding respect for the people and communities visited, which may address political or religious images or slogans on clothing, word choice and style of communication on matters of faith and politics, and behavior where others are worshipping. You agree not to engage in evangelistic activity, distribution of religious materials, or public preaching at any site or in any public place without the express prior approval of the Organizers, and understand that unauthorized activity of this kind may place you, the group, and our local partners at legal risk.

13. Washington Seller of Travel

Philip’s House LLC is a seller of travel registered in the State of Washington, registration number 604990755-001-0001, and maintains a trust account for traveler funds as required by chapter 19.138 RCW. Nothing in these Terms or in the Travel Waiver and Release of Liability waives, limits, or diminishes any right you hold under chapter 19.138 RCW, the Washington Consumer Protection Act (chapter 19.86 RCW), or any other statute that cannot be waived by contract. To the extent any provision conflicts with such a statute, the statute controls, that provision is limited only so far as necessary to comply, and the remainder of these Terms remains in effect.

14. Governing Law

These Terms and the Agreement of which they form part are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Agreement or to the tour shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Snohomish County, Washington, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts and waive any objection to venue. In any action to enforce the Agreement, the prevailing party is entitled to recover reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs.

Severability, entire agreement, and electronic records

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law and the remainder shall remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with the Travel Waiver and Release of Liability and the payment schedule provided at booking, constitute the entire agreement between you and Philip’s House LLC regarding the tour, and may not be modified orally.

This Agreement is executed by electronic signature through the WeTravel booking platform. You consent to transact electronically and agree that an electronic signature applied through WeTravel has the same force as a handwritten one under the federal E-SIGN Act and the Washington Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (chapter 1.80 RCW). Your WeTravel booking record — legal name as it appears in your passport, passport details, date of birth, emergency contact, trip dates, price, payment schedule, and the timestamp of your signature — forms part of this Agreement. Wherever these Terms refer to the departure date, that means the departure date shown in your WeTravel booking confirmation; every cancellation deadline in Section 2 is counted backward from it. If trip dates, price, or payment schedule differ between your booking confirmation and any other document, your booking confirmation controls as to those items. You agree to receive these Terms, the waiver, tour documents, and notices by email at the address provided at booking, and are responsible for keeping that address current.
