Day 4 - Regional Transformation
February 15 - Sunday
JESUS & REGIONAL TRANSFORMATION
Jesus launched his message at the crossroads of the world. The foot of the Sermon on the Mount is where the roads to Africa, Asia, and Europe meet. Jesus took his message to the Gates of Hell a site even Emperor Nero visited. Jesus has a plan for world wide change and you are part of it.
The Mount of Beatitudes, where Jesus drew from the local scenery to illustrate the Sermon on the Mount.
Journey an hour north to Caesarea Philippi and touch the red bedrock where Peter stood, see the literal Gates of Hell, and the spiritual significance of announcing on this spot the church--the "called out ones."
Visit kibbutz Dafna, a vibrant community nestled in the stunning Galilee region. Engage with the friendly locals and take part in a meaningful activity by planting a tree alongside Eyal Dror, creating lasting memories and contributing to the environment.
Lt Col Eyal Dror of the IDF will meet your group to give you fascinating insights into Israel's struggle. Eyal is an expert in relations between Israel and her neighbors. He created the Good Neighbor project, a hospital built by the IDF to serve Syrian refugees.
Hike the rapids of Banias Falls, that inspired King David to write Psalm 42 and later Jesus would walk on his way up to Mount Hermon, the place of the Transfiguration.
Take in the 4,000-year-old Gates of Dan, where Abraham took his 318 servants to defeat physical and spiritual forces and how his story connects with Jesus' story.
Return to Harp of David Hotel for dinner and your rest on the shore of the Sea of Galilee.
