The Experience

More than a tour.
It's a retreat in the world of the Bible.

Philip's House takes Binyam Aklog and the Siloam Voice community to Greece, where Paul carried the gospel onto European soil, and gives you space to meet Jesus there. Seven nights in two central hotels, an unhurried pace built for July, and every day on a site you already know from the Book of Acts: Philippi, Thessaloniki, Berea, Athens, and Corinth.

The Philip's House Difference
A

Activate

WALK like an apostle. Step on the pavement where Paul once stood and scan the same horizon he saw. Shake off the spectator and step into the story.

M

Meditate

PAUSE on location. Just five minutes of quiet where the letters of the New Testament were first received is enough to set you up for an encounter with Jesus.

R

Relate

MEET local believers. God is still at work in Greece today. Worship with the followers of Jesus who live where Paul preached, and share a meal with the Ethiopian community of Athens.

At the river where Lydia was baptized, we pause for teaching and, for any who wish, a renewal of baptism.

Then down to Kavala, ancient Neapolis, the harbor where Paul first set foot on European soil (Acts 16:11). Return to Thessaloniki for dinner.

Paul's city, and the noble Bereans.

A panoramic tour of Thessaloniki takes us to the upper Old City walls, then along the Egnatian Way to the Arch of Galerius and the Rotunda, in the city where Paul reasoned in the synagogue for three Sabbaths (Acts 17:1-4). We read 1 Thessalonians where it was first received.

In the afternoon we drive to Berea, where the people received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day (Acts 17:11), and see the Bema of Paul and its mosaics. Return to Thessaloniki for dinner.
