Eating Out

Yes, tipping for meals is the norm in Israel. A tip of 12% or 15% is typical. 10% is acceptable but on the low side. 20% means that you are really happy

Tour Guide

Your licensed tour guide took a university course to prepare to guide you. He or she have endured the war to be ready to serve you. He or she gave up quality time with family to be with you every step of the way. The starting place of your tip is $6-8 per person, per day. Yes, you can give more in your tip!

Staff

Remember to tip your bus driver ($3-$5 per person per day), the dining room staff ($2-$3 per person per day), the front desk ($2 per day) and the bellman ($1-2 per bag.) Many are non-believers, so your tip is a witness.
